La maison des Terrils
Description
Tucked between the Gosson 1 and 2 slag heaps, created by coal mining activity in the place of the same name, the Maison des Terrils is located in a former wash-house built in 1907. This venue revisits the history and life of the coal mines, but also examines the specific plant and wildlife that can be found when climbing up these manmade hills, enabling this unique place to combine the industrial past and biodiversity.
