A necropolis for eternity…

The Loncin fortress is the most famous of the Brialmont forts. On August 15, 1914, under firefrom the “Big Berthas”, one of its two powder magazines exploded, crushing 350 of its defendersbeneath its debris. The Loncin fortress is also the only fort to have retainedits armament from 1914. Besides the tour of the fortress,which of fers a stunning view of the explosion crater anda moving tour of the crypt, the adjoining museum effectively combines models and items from collections, someof which are unique. The fortress features an illustrated trail that enables visitors to re-live the garrison’s final moments and the fortress’s explosion.

Monday : closed.

Tuesday : 2 pm - 6 pm.

Wednesday : 2 pm - 6 pm.

Thursday : 2 pm - 6 pm.

Friday : 2 pm - 6 pm.

Saturday : 2 pm - 6 pm.

Sunday : 2 pm - 6 pm.

Last departure at 5 pm with audio guides.

Prices

Adult : € 7.

Over 65 years/Student : € 5.

Less than 12 years : € 3.

Less than 6 years : free.

For temporary exhibitions, a surcharge may be requested.
