The music-based event
Liège Philharmonic Hall is a major witness to 19th-century architecture. It was built by the architects Louis Boonen and Laurent Demany, and inaugurated on 30 April 1887 with the Eugène Ysaÿe contest.
The auditorium was built in Italian style, richly decorated with gilding and red velours.
