The Beyne-Heusay municipality, nestled in the lower parts of the Herve plateau, grew through the ages as Bellaire, Queue-Du-Bois and Moulins-Sous-Fléron came together.
Beyne-Heusay is a starting point for hikes, including the former Railway Line 38. Tread the paths of the RAVeL network to enjoy the fabulous views on the Chaudfontaine valley and, among other things, see Saint Anne's Chapel, which serves as the memento of the death of five Breton soldiers in 1794. You will also see four stunning age-old lime trees in the Neufcour Estate.
Sports fans will enjoy visiting the terraces of local sports grounds and the area around the boules pitch. Several local clubs, including the Union Beynoise de Handball, Royal Basket Club de Bellaire and Moisson Pétanque Club, compete in the top-level Belgian division. To reward your taste buds at the end of the visit, there is nothing better than sampling delicious special beers at the Sainte-Nitouche Brewery or stopping at a restaurant or snack bar for a hearty meal or a snack.
