Kroll throws bottles into the sea
Exhibition as part of the 15th anniversary of the Grand Curtius
Over the course of 40 years, with over 20,000 archived drawings and just as many scattered elsewhere, Pierre Kroll has lost track of the journey and impact of each of his works. Unable to pick his favorites, he entrusted the task of selecting and organizing them to Marc Dausimont, a talented graphic designer. Dausimont unearthed decades-old drawings and seamlessly mixed them with Kroll's most recent creations.

This exhibition is not a retrospective of Kroll’s career, nor a "best of." Rather, it resembles a "playlist" crafted by an attentive listener for a special occasion. Kroll himself feels somewhat like a visitor—rediscovering his work, sometimes surprised, sometimes nostalgic, but always amused.
